Hard lump under skin in groin area..ingrown hair??!
Question: I woke up some days ago to find a hard lump about the size of a nickle no bigger than a quarter on the inside of my skin between my leg and groin. u know, where the crease is at. the top It is a little sore only when i push on it otherwise I can't feel it. I remember having this a few years ago b4, not knowing what it was. My mother told me to wait until it went down, and it went down eventually. I just can't remember how long it took. I just got off an antibiotic a few weeks ago for bv so me and my fiance had discontinued intercourse during that time. Ever since I was finished with it I think it gave me a yeast infection afterwards and I keep urinating. My tests for chlamydia, gohno and trich came out (-) b4 I took the antibiotics. I don't think this lump has anything to do with it tho, for the fact that it happened to me b4 when I wasn't even having sex. I am wondering what it may be and if i can get rid of it without going to a doc, or what do u think it could've came from. I shave

I had the exact same thing happen with the lump! How weird.. It came back sporadically for a couple years but has been gone now for 3 years or so. I think it was just a muscle inflamation type thing. Never hurt, no redness or anything just a small lump like you said under the skin, almost like a knot. Everytime I would say I was going to the dr it would go away! But no STD's or anything like that. Not sure about the frequent urination but I would see a dr asap as it can be caused by any number of serious things..
This could be many things, cyst, hernia, blood clot(there are main arteries in that area),ingrown hair, probably nothing serious. But if it went away before and it is the same as then, it will probably go away. But I couldn't stand not knowing and wait about a week and then go to the Dr. to check it out.
Don't worry about it until later.
Yes the antibiotic gives you an yeast infection and then you have to get the cream for that.==
