**`PERiOD QUESTiON? (gReen tea involved?)?!

Question: so like, i've had 3 periods. i'm 14. my first one was around my mom's and my next one was 9 days after my moms (36 days later) before my third period, i drank a lott of green tea. like a lot.

my period started again on the exact same day (36 days later) and all. it always starts off light, which is what it did this time. but instead, my whole period was light. my other ones were pretty heavy the 2,3, and usually 4th day and then the 5th and 6th were light.

i'm pretty sure my period lasted the same amount of days, but it was just really light.

is it possible the green tea made it start, and that meant that it wasnt' ready yet and that's why it was light?

any other suggestions? my first and second period were almost identical

I don't know of any evidence of green tea decreasing blood flow, but who knows...
You've only had three periods, though. At first, your periods won't be entirely regular and the same every time, so it's nothing to worry about. You'll start getting regular in a bit.

no. your periods are whacky for the first couple years. sometimes they wont come at all for months .. then a lot one month until your body regulates itself. takes time. do not worry. nothing to do with sweet wonderful green tea

suggestion of what? sounds like you are normal every 36 days, probably will come closer to 28 days as time goes on...

welcome to womanhood LOL

green tea is not going to help or hinder it...

my first year i never had regular period most of them light it may take a while for your body to adjust and find its way of working the way it needs to for your health...but if you have light periods for a long time u are blessed so dont complain lol I doubt green tea had any effect,,,possible but i think not likely

I looked at several sites regarding this; all (with the exception of one woman discussing her weight loss) said that green tea does not affect your period.

When you first start having your period it is not always regular. I can't say for sure but I don't think the tea has anything to do with it. Keep tracking when you start and in a few months you will find out what is regular for you as everyone is different. My mother lasted 7 days, mine was 5, and my sister was only 3 days. Individuals differ.

It changes from time to time. Its totally natural.
