Period and birth control?!

Question: My friend's period was verry irregular, it like went for three months and came back and then went for two months and things like that. So she decided to take pills to become regular, the doctor gave her yasmin pills. It helped a lot and she became regular when taking the pills. When she stopped the pill, she had 3 regular periods, but due to stress, her 4th period came about 12 days and was heavier than usual, and it's been some two months since then, does that mean that she's back to to the irregular period days?

If ur friend is below 18 yrs of age, i think u need not worry much. I respect ur saying that she is virgin. The reproductive organs of a female may take up to 18 yrs of age for complete maturation and may till then have irregular periods.

If she is < 18 and having problems, u can again try next 3 months with Oral Contraceptive Pills (OCPs), the same pills u use for the family planning. I have no idea about "yasmin", but it should be OCPs.

If she is > 18 then u should have ultrasound scan of ur pelvis and other necessary investigations as per ur docs's advice.

has she taken a pregnancy test?

Most probably yes. When you stop taking the pill your body goes back to what is normal (for her would be irregular periods) taking the pill is so much easier at keeping track of when you are due. Lots of girls have this problem.

It could mean that but it could also mean she is pregant.
