Is this normal - period help?!
Question: I talked to my Mom the other day because Yesterday I JUST started my period - for the first time
She said I might not get it again for another week, month or even 3 months because I had just started out.
is this true? did that happen to you?

That is very true, i was 14 when i first started i had small bleeds every few weeks then had a period quite light for 2 months after time it regulated itself to every month, as you have just started your body will take time before you start having your periods regular. However, you should wait a while and if they do not regulate in the next year maybe you should speak with your gp. Good luck and congratulations on becoming a lady! x

and now iv been haring periods about 2 or 3 years and i still have some irregular months every now and then
Yes, when you first start your period it may be irregular for a while. no worries. mine was irregular for a few years until I got fed up with not knowing when it was going to come & went on birth control.
