Ladys help pls?!


Question: I suffer really badly with my periods. Just recently I have become even more aggitated before my period and I am constantly hungry. I am on a diet and am doing well at the moment but let myself down by eating crap a couple of days because of my period. Has anyone got any advice to curb the cravings I do get and help with home remedys for the dam pain!! ( I am currently off the pill as advised by my GP! )

It is proven that while you are on your period your appetite increases and you crave sweet foods you wouldn't normally eat.

Just try to do some light excercise to help with the pain I totally understant how much it hurts as I have always had painful periods. I have just read that taking 5HTP and HCA helps with cravings of all sorts so I am going to buy some to try it out as my diet is fantastic all but my sweet tooth wanting chocolate every day.

i avoid crap .......whenever possible....not good for the breath.....

when you are on your period its best that you diet until its over because during yuor period your body is losing blood and therefore you need you eat right. try eating foods that contain alot of iron to give you the strenght that your body needs to repair itself.

hot water bottle on your stomach will help also eat a lot of cereals - for example high fibre like oatmeal or porridge - haelthy and it will fill you up. I would sugges snacking on dried apricots ( contain iron to replenish supplies lost in blood ) or other dried fruits also lots of spinach and dark green veg (broccoli, aparagus) try snacking on nuts ans fruit or low fat yougurt to stop you from the hunger pangs and remember its only a week ;-)

Because of how bad the pain is with your periods is I would recommend consulting a gynecologist as well to see what they think could be going on.

I also suffer from painful periods!!! But i never get the hunger and the cravings i tend to eat less on my period but i drink more water and eat things more like fruit and things...

So i cant help you there...

I am currently on th pill and I still get painful periods but not far as bad as when i was not on the pill...

I've had a few side affects such as fainting towards the end of the pack and nausia...
I really dont want to come off the pill as i cant bear to have a painful period. i did come off the pill a couple of months ago and i nearly passed out because of the pain so i've now been taking my pill religiously!
I say go and talk to your doctor, you could have the injection which lasts 3 months. My sister has this and has found it really helpful!

use evening primrose oil.you get this from chemist or herbal shop.

Hi, if you like fruit put some in ur bag wen u feel a craving eat that even if u dnt really fancy it by the time its gone u wont be hungry, also what i found for me is slimming worlds choco bars, you can buy them in any store put some of them in, u can eat chocolate and not feel bad bcoz there are hardly any calories!
