Spotting all the time?!

Question: Hey all.
I've been on the pill for about a year and also use condoms when having intercourse. (Just to clear that up!)
So, I had breakthrough bleeding last monday when I was still on active pills, but it stopped after a few days. So, my period is due on wednesday and I've been spotting again since yesterday... what's going on? I seriously doubt I'm pregnant because I haven't had sex since the 19th of december, which is nowhere near ovulation time and the condom didn't break!
So, I'm not scared, just weirded out... and will my cycle correct itself within time? Should I go to my family planning center and arrange for another brand of pills that is a stronger dose? (I'm currently on Ortho TriCyclen Lo)
I'm scheduled to go back in february, so should this be something I should bring up?

Thanks a million!

hi, you get that with the pill sometimes hun- its nothing to worry about having a spell like that but if it persists go see the doc you might need a stronger dosage pill. Also take into consideration things like any other medication you have been taking as this could affect your pill and mess up your cycle- antibiotics being the most obvious but there are loads more. Also if you miss pills this will happen. its very unlikely ur pregnant if ur on the pill and using protection so dont worry about that , hope this helps x

Any concern you have you should always ask your gyno they will know if its an after affect of the pill or if you need change...When you go back ask them they will be more specific.......mom 31
