Epesiotomy Scar Tissue?!

Question: I had an epesiotomy when i had my child, i then had the scar tissue "corrected" about 9 months after the birth becasue it was so sore. After the "correction" it still really hurts to have sex. It's always dry and feels like tiny cuts all in that area! I have seen my gyno/doc. Has enyone else experianced this after having a baby and had correction surgery? What other steps did you take?

Even 15 years after giving birth, my scar still hurts like the dickens every now and again. It really depends upon how and in what position the thrusting is occurring. Sometimes extra lube can help. It WILL get better, but this is just one of the MANY joys of being a woman. Sadly, any further surgery will just re-injure the area and the healing process would have to start over.

Yes I had a very similar problem after the birth of my first child. Unfortunately only time will help that area toughen up and stop being uncomfortable. Be sure when having sex to use plenty of lube, as it will lessen the problem of irritation. The scar tissue just has to finish settling.

Well I have scar tissue (I had 4th degree lacerations that required 3 layers of stitches), and it hurt for the first couple of years, but now it doesn't bother me as much. But you should check to see if the scar tissue is somehow messing with the nerves in that area.
