What happens now??!?!

Question: I am 15 and have had my period for about three years now. But since I started dieting, they have stopped. I chose to stop dieting, so will they come back? Can I still get pregnant?

Wait, stopped stopped? While going on a diet, especially a heavily restrictive diet, can make your periods be a bit late for a while, generally you have to get down to extremely low body fat (we're talking marathon runner or model low body fat here) to completely quit ovulating/menstruating. If you really are as thin as all that, then yes... gaining some weight will probably start up your periods again, and if you're healthy otherwise, there's no reason you can't get pregnant someday when you are ready.

If, on the other hand, your body fat is in the more normal range, you might want to go see a doctor if you've missed more than a few periods. While it's not at all unusual for a young woman to have irregular cycles, you do want to get checked out if you don't get at least one period for three months.

you really need to go to the doc cuz i dont think dieting has anything to do with it. it could be a serious medical problem

yes, you can

If your excersizing really intensely then that could effect it too but if your diets too serious then yeah your periods can stop because your body needs all the iron it can get. just make sure your eating nutritious foods!
