What is a really good birth control pill?!
Question: My main reason for taking the pill would be to protect against pregnancy... it would also be nice if it dealt with the other symptoms also such as regulation and NO weight gain!

The best thing to do when thinking about starting birth control is to talk to your doctor about your options. Different pills work for different people and it depends on your medical history and other factors. There are risks and benefits with any pill and these are things you should discuss with your doctor and make an educated decision. That being said, I personally like Yaz and haven't had any unpleasant side effects.

I have been on Aviane (the generic of Alesse) for the past seven years and that has always been good for regulation and no weight gain.
Even if you do gain weight, it's water weight that is easily gotten rid of with water pills.
Ortho- Lo. I've been taking BC pills for 8 years now and Its the best one I've come across.
Keep in mind no pill is 100% and will be most effective used allong w/ spermacide to prevent pregnancy (if having unprotected sex in a serious relationship). Or with condoms to protect against STI's (if having "open relationship" sex).
Picking the pill that is right for you is a trial & error process, you'll just have to start trying.

YAZ! its that newer birth control! its a 28 pack so your period is only 4 days...it helps with cramps sooo much! i didn't gain weight all though i did grow a cup size ( I am not complaining!)....definatley should try it! it helps with acne too! kinda expensive but its worth it
