Method #1-Tell your Mom Upfront and in Person
Get your mom alone. It could be while she's folding the laundry or putting earrings in. Try not to do it when she's trying a new recipe or attempting to get your screaming little brother in the car. Pick a time when she's calm and relaxed.
Tell her that you have important news to share with her. Say, "Mom, I got my period" and smile to let her know your happy by the news. Most moms will be calm and congatulate you!

Method #2-Write a Note
Leave your mom a note. It can read something like, "Mom, today I got my period!! Maybe we can get supplies at the drugstore later? I love you."
Put the note somewhere she (and only she) can find it. A good place would be in her makeup drawer or under her pillow.

Method #3-Send a Text Message
If you have a cellphone with text messaging capabilities, and your mom is out, you could send her a text message such as "I got my period. Could you please bring home some pads or tampons? Thanks. I love you."
Try to be calm though . When I first got my period, I was a nervous wreck and my mom thought that I was dying or something at first, so it didn't turn out very good. Before you tell her, calm down. Take a shower, read a book, or just breathe! Also, make sure you really have it. If you're sure, go ahead. If you're not, wait a day or two. If you see it again, then congrats! Also remember though that maybe it's a good idea to show your mom so that she can make sure. Also, webisites like beinggirl.com are very good with handling periods and making sure you have it.

ily ? Dear just be honest and open, then sweetly ask her to keep it between the two of you, woman to woman !

Of course you should. Your mom would be happy to hear of it and will have some good advise for you. Stop hesitating. I don't think she would be as immature as your peers would be.

tell her straight up. and if she tell someone yell at her or throw one of ur pices of toilet paper u used at her than she will stop or you should tell your mom and talk seirous and she will be nice

i've always thought telling your mom face to face is the way to go. Just sit down with her at the kitchen table and say, "Mom . . . I just wanted you to know I got my period." You might ask her advice on feminine protection, or let her know you have it under control if that's the case.

If you don't feel you can tell her face-to-face, try writing her a note and leaving it in a place where only she will find it, like her underwear drawer. Or you can go shopping with her and casually toss a box of your favorite menstrual protection into the cart. Remember, your mom got her first period once too! It's a natural part of female development.

well congrats !! i told my mom "mom i think i just became a woman" lol u can say it anyway if your close to her just tell her .. if not say sumthang like can you take me to the store ? i need to buy lady products .. good luck

Just tell her! My mom told everyone that i had my period after i told her..lol.
