What happens if you get the HPV shot too close together?!

Question: i got the HPV (gardasil) shot today. i know you have to get 3 total shots, and i heard (and read on the website) that each shot is 3 months apart, but my doctor said i have to come back in 2 months for the next shot, and we made an appointment in 2 months....what happens if you get the HPV shot 2 months apart insted of 3?

The recommonded schedule is to get the 2nd dose 2 months after the 1st, and the 3rd dose 6 months after the 1st. So your doctor is exactly right.

Its fine. your doctor knows what he or she is doing. Dont worry. you will be fine. You cannot get HPV fromt he shots.

i would call your doctor and ask, because it may lead to it not functionaing properly. I know when i got it my first was about 2 1/2 months after or so.but check just to be safe.

Probably nothing.
The time apart is set to adjust your immune system; so the 3 months apart is an arbitrary figure that's ideal for most people.
But doesn't have to be strictly that way.
Why not ask your Dr? I would.
