No one can say exactly when a girl will get her first menstrual period, but usually girls will get it some time during puberty.
Some girls start puberty at age 9 or 10 where others may start as late as age 15 or 16. Each girl goes at her own pace. So don't think that it's a bad thing or that something is wrong if your friends start puberty a little earlier/later than you.
At the beginning of puberty, you'll notice that your breasts are developing and you're starting to grow a little hair under your arms. Hair also will grow on your genitals (pubic hair). In some girls, the time from the beginning of puberty to getting the first menstrual period may take only 6 months, where as for other girls, it may take longer and can take up to 3 years.
Every girl is different, and there is a wide range of normal development during puberty.
All I can say is that you should be patient, it will happen when your body is ready.

it just depends it is different for everyone. i got mine at 11 yrs old. but i think most girls usually get theres between the ages of 11-15

Some start as young as nine and others do not start until fifteen or sixteen. A lot has to do with genetics, environment, and your own activities. For example, a lean athletic young lady will usually start older than a heavier non-athletic person. It has been proven that girls in hotter temperatures (think Texas versus Montana) will usually start younger than others. Out of three teenage grandchildren, one started at nine, one started at twelve and the last did not start until she was 15. So quit worrying about it; your menses (correct terminology) will come and then you will wish they never had. Good luck and God bless
Anywhere from age 9 to 15 . I have heard of 9 year olds having them but that seems a bit young. I would say most girls get it between 12-14. I was 12.

Usually 10-15. Ask your mom when she got hers. you should get your about the same age. I just got mine 3 months ago and im almost 16!! so the ages vary

not necessarily get ur period around the same age ur mom got it...i got it at almost 13 years old and my mom at 14 years and a half...anyway betwen 10 - 16 u gonna have it.But whats the rush ? Its not that wonderful.I've been waiting mine but after like 4 months i got bored lol...i wished it came later haha.So dont worry urs will come sooner than u think
