What could be causing this symptom?!

Question: Last night and a few times in the past I will get this awful feeling like I am about to pass out. I am 53 years old. I get real lightheaded (almost like the feeling you can get if you bend over then stand up too fast). But I may be just sitting at the desk feeling fine, all of a sudden it comes over me. I feel like I am going to faint but never do. Then for several hours I will not feel well. It always evenually goes away.

go to a good internist and get complete blood work-up -- and complete physical --- check for high or low blood sugar or blood pressure. do it today!

could be a number of different things. the first thing that comes to mind is poor circulation/ clogged artery. i'd have it checked out.

It can be a lot of different things. Make an appointment with your PCP and have it checked out. It could be anything... vertigo, menopause?, inner ear problems... you name it. Call your doctor and get an appt. ASAP

I'm 50 and have the same kind of thing happen to me. I'm taking blood thinners, so I don't think it's circulation. I do have diabetes which may be causing mine. So if you haven't been checked for that lately check it out. Or could it possibly be menopause? idk really, just guessing with what experience I have. Can't think of anything else.
peace
