How to change a pad (period)?!
Question: Okay, whenever I go into the bathroom at school to change my pad, there's someone in there. And its kind of humiliating to change my pad making a lot of noise by first opening the wrapper (though now I do this at home, then secure it again with the tape on it), taking the wrapper off, then peeling it off of the wrapper, taking the old pad off, wrapping it in the wrapper. And I can't stay in the bathroom to wait for the person to go out, because I just can't tell! is there a way to change a pad silently? A method you have come up with? And I can't use a tampon, my mom won't let me... Thanx!

well first of all. we are all girls. every girl goes through it and you shouldn't be embarrassed by any means. i know when you first get your period for the first time it can be kind of weird but you shouldn't be embarrassed.
also don't let other people influence how you feel. personally i could give a shi* what people think about what i do or whatever.
i don't let their negativity and words hold me down and not let me be the person i want to be.
so who cares if anyone is in the stall next to you or in the bathroom. it means your a woman!
and i bet whoever is in there has theirs and is going through the same issues you are!
and as for a tampon. i love them. way better than a pad.
but to be honest, i have had my period for like 5 years now and i remember for like the first 2 years i tried and tried and it always hurt like hell to put it in. it was because i was doing it wrong. then all of a sudden one day im like ya no what? im going to try this one more time. and it worked. has ever since! they are way better and no not if you do them correctly but its not too hard. trust me. once you get the hang of it.
and tell your mom that you feel like you are wearing a diaper when you have a pad on. that it is uncomfortable to wear. think of good, smart reasons and who knows she might let you!

No a tampon will not brake ur hymen. We are girls it's not that big of a deal. Just change it and move on. I bet ur not the only girl at school who feels that way.
yeah well i know what ur talking about...there isnt a way to take it off silently...
but try going and changing ur pad during a class...cuz most students wont be in there...
or just rip it off...all girls go threw with a period so they all know its not that big of a deal
or if u want try flushing the toilet when ur ready to rip it off...sure it will take longer but they wont hear it over the flush!!
and for a tampon it dosnet hurt if u put it in right and no it wont brake that..unless u SHOVEE it up there but if you put it in right you wont have any problems!!

Just change your pad. Who cares about the noise? So what someone overhears you in the stall. All us ladies have a period. and we all have to do the same thing. If you are that concerned, have your pad ready and start unwrapping while you are peeing to mask the noise.
buy the pads (i think kotex?) that have quiet wrappers

Well, I know to you it is a very big deal, I used to be the same way. But honestly, no one really cares. All the girls have been through this! It is absolutely nothing to be ashamed of!
BUTT, if you cannot conquer this embarrasment, I think KOTEX is the name brand...they make pads with cotton wrappers instead of plastic. That way they make no noise!
&& yes tampons can break your hymen. It can also be really painful to insert a tampon if you do it the wrong way.
