So soar!!! Help me please!?!

Question: I can't talk to my mom about this, too embarrasing...

My downstairs is really soar, before I thought it was swelling and red but I just went for a shower and looked again and found it isn't red and it's not swollen, but it does have the rashy looking bumpy patch on both "sides" near the back of the downstairs.

I had a problem like this when I had scented night pads but I got rid of them and now I don't have scented ones. But the problem is back, just a little different. So I don't know what to do. I really don't want to go to the doctors or my mom about this (too embarassing). But I'm worried I'm infected or if I need medicine.

My brother has some allergy medicine (like I could use if I'm allergic) but I never take medicine without asking my parents, and if I ask they'll want to know why I need it. And I don't want to take it without asking if it's not my problem.

Oh please help me!

its probably a rash. its probably not nfected, but you have to tell your mom. she has her period too, so she'll undertand. its completely normal and you shouldn't be embarassed at all. its completely normal. but you seriously have no ask her, its the only way anyone will know. good luck!

Don't you mean sore?

it sounds a lot like thrush, or a yeast infection i have had this and went to the doctors and they just gave me some cream and it went its nothing to be embaressed about its extremely common!

idk

see your school nurse. NEVER EVER put any medecine down there that wasn't prescribed for YOU.

I know this is weird but use baby powder for your rash. It works!

It is probably your

Fabric softener
Laundry detergent
brand of panties

If you are sexually active then it sounds like it could be herpes or warts. You must go to the doctors!!!

wait a day more without using the same pads and if the pain persists tell an adult you trust...it could just be menstrual cramps I get them ALL the time
relax..its probably not that serious anyway

idk im not a girl sorry. itll go away though from the description it looks like you just got a rash from something let it take care of it self but if it starts flippen out on ja then go ask your mom

Maybe your allergic to some kind of soap, or other type of pads your using. Otherwise you're going to have to mention this to your mother at least so you can be checked thoroughly. If you are sexually active, you may want to have some sort of STD testings done. Not trying to scare you by any means, but you never know what the cause is. Could be something as simple as a yeast infection which MANY women get.

hun, there is nothing wrong with consulting a doctor. i had yeast infection (more embarassing than your case!) and i was embarassed to talk tot he doctor at the clinic at my university, so i asked to talk to a female nurse. don't take any medication without consulting a doctor.

Generally when you are sore/itchy down there and haven't been sexually active, it is due to thrush. I am afraid you will have to bite the bullet and talk to your mum. She will understand, yeast infections are REALLY common and most women have them at some point. Things like scented products, changes in diet, nylon pants and antibiotics can set them off and they can be easily treated with over the counter products. Talk to your mum, she is your best bet.

have you changed soaps? or putting powder downstairs? or have your mom changed laundry detergent? don't be afraid to ask your mother for help. that's what she's there for.

you shouldn't be embarassed. It's better for your mom to know than the many people reading this post.

it is your body adjusting to unscented pads since you switch

Just tell your mum, there is nothing to be embarrassed about at all!

As a guy, I don't really have alot of personal experience with these things. BUT, could it be some sort of sexually transmitted thing? Your skin could be reacting badly to tics, or lice? It could be some form of shingles, or herpes?
When my girlfriend has sore bumps in that area, it's often just razor burn. Isn't it possible that you damaged the skin, and in its weakened state it became infected? I mean, there are so many possibilities. And even if you could maybe figure it out, isn't it possible that you'd treat it incorrectly and make things worse?

Lol, not to worry you. SEE YOUR DOCTOR.

Sounds like you have very sensitive skin, therefore you have to be careful what color panties you wear because of dye, what soap you use, even what type of toilet paper. From now on get all of your product for that area of your body scent free. Soak in a warm tub tonight, don't use soap or anything, and pat the area dry, don't sleep in bottoms tonight, don't rub or scratch....if you have cornstarch, you can use a little of that to keep you dry and not so itchy, but don't use powder, not even baby powder. if you get at least 6 hours sleep tonight without scratching that area and it's still sore and itchy in the morning, tell mom.

A little bit of plain yogurt, with live cultures, applied topically to the surfaces that are sore might provide some relief. It is very possible that the issue will clear up in a day or two if it is an allergic reaction. If it does not, please follow the good advice in many posts of talking to a parent, another trusted adult, school nurse, etc.
