At a certain point you come up against the barrier of "this is what shape I am", and if you are the sort of "apple" shape where you carry weight in your belly, it becomes challenging to get past that. So here goes.

1. Make sure your crunch form is correct. You should be doing several different sorts of crunches to work the various abdominal muscles, and if you aren't doing them right you're not getting much benefit from them. A personal trainer (you can often hire one just for a single session at many health clubs) can help evaluate and improve your form.
2. Incorporate weights. 100 crunches may not be as beneficial as 20 crunches with additional weights added.
3. Try pilates. The focus of those is core strength, which helps slim your belly.

Are you weighing your self and doing measurements? Are you pinching the same amount of fat at your waist as you could a few months ago? Maybe the proportions are the same while you are losing. Keep up the good work, some spots take a little longer to show a change.
