What can I do to not feel so stressed out???!

Question: I have so many things stressing me out I don't know what to do!

1. I totalled my car last week and have had a terrible time working with the insurance co. and I think I will maybe break even, but that is still unsure.

2. I have to buy a new car, which I don't enjoy having to do. I just bought my last car 6 months ago and don't want to do it again. I don't know what kind I want or anything!

3. My boyfriend and I have been fasting so I am hungry all the time. Since I am hungry all the time we are both a little crabby and irritable.

4. Speaking of my boyfriend, we are trying to plan a trip to Chicago for Valentine's Day. Trouble is my parents disapprove, even though I am 25 and he's 28. I have to find some way by the end of the week to get them to accept it.

5. And all of the other little things at work and about that normally bug me.

Help me de-stress!!!! What can I do???

First of all, you worry too much.

Your accident may have occurred because you were preoccupied with thoughts other than driving defensively.

I know we all want to please our parents, but at 25, you should do what you know is best for you. Even if you disappoint them, they will still love you. (If you're worried about being disinherited, get your own money.)

Fasting for extended periods is not healthy. Your brain and body need certain nutrients to function. If it's making you both crabby, it's not good. (And don't do everything your boyfriend asks you to do...especially if you think it's not right for you.)

I see a pattern here; you are a people pleaser. It's good to give of yourself to others, but always consider your own needs as well.

Here's a helpful suggestion: Every morning before you get out of bed, take two minutes to be thankful for everything good you have in your life; it will set the tone for your whole day.

chill out, eat a hardy meal. look for the good in every situation. hey you lost your car, but did you really like the color of it anyway.

Well, you can suck it up and realize you're 25 and can do whatever you want with your life... Also, you can go to a doctor and tell them you're feeling depressed and anxious and they'll give you anti-depressants, which take away stress and depression. I'd do both... the anti-depressants aren't addictive or a life-long thing, they would be just for now..

1) Eat sensibly, fasting does nothing for your weight - in fact it can have the effect of slowing your metabolism thereby increasing the amount of fat you store and making you fatter!
2) Tell your parents you are an adult, what were they like at 28? then follow your heart. Say to yourself" I CHOOSE to......."
3)Find someone who does know cars to help you in exchange for lots of wine! Help them drink it.
4)Ask yourself about all the little stuff " Will I laugh about this in a year's time? If 'Yes ' then why wait?"

Good luck and be cool.
