When we grow (like height or maturation), is it possible to grow for like a year!

Question: and then not grow for 3-5 years (taller or more woman-ish) and then start growing again? Or will growth be like a periodic thing and not be like completely random like that?

I am right now. I looked the same from about 13 to 15 and now at 16 I'm having another growth spurt.
