Why was my wife in so much pain after we had sex?!

Question: We had been apart for a month, so obviously I was eager, but still being gentle so I wouldn't hurt her. We were doing okay, but I noticed halfway through she was grimacing. I ejaculated and she started squirming like she was really uncomfortable. Then she jumped up and went to pee.

She said her privates felt like they were burning and she hissed in pain. Then she went to the sink and started rinsing herself out with cold water.

The pain lasted for about two hours. She said it was really bad the first 30 minutes, then gradually lessened.

She doesn't have an STD, but her gyno did diagnose her with a yeast infection six days later. Was that what hurt her?

A yeast infection will usually make sex very painful. A yeast infection produces a lot of irritation in the area and can make it incredibly tender. The friction of sex can aggravate this situation to the point of burning for quite some time.

If your wife follows her treatment for the yeast infection and it clears up with the first round of medication, you should be able to have sex in a couple of weeks. If she doesn't have the same discomfort again, chalk it up to the yeast infection. If it happens again (even with using some lube) then she needs to return to the gyno for another checkup.

Good job for your wife going to the doctor! You may want to let her know she should tell you any time she is uncomfortable durring sex. Tell her you love her and don't ever want to hurt her, so she's got to let you know right away if anything like this happens again.

no i doubt it

It was a combination of her not having sex in a while and becoming tighter and her starting to get a yeast infection. All infections burn and sex can irritate them greatly.

She may have some type of vaginal infection.

She may have had a tear on the vaginal wall and friction from the sex would cause discomfort. A tear can be from lack of lubrication. Kind of like a rug burn only inside of you. That would cause burning and pain during sex. However, if the gyno didn't see anything, then maybe you have to use some extra lubrication for a while. KY is a good one. Good luck. :)

you could have went to deep and irritated the entrance of her cervix.....that and friction burns cause immense pain you get friction burns from being to dry or with a condom from the texture. for an example rub your palms together then imagine what that would feel like on your privites ........sorry if its descriptive its just important you understand the infection maybe back so if it presists go have her examined good luck and email or IM me for further desscussion

maybe from lack of lubrication. sometimes it makes sex really hurt and will burn for a while.
