The best thing for cramp relief is a heating pad to the back, a hot bath and soak, and exercise (stretching and walks nothing too strenuous). Cramping is the result of your uterus having spasms while trying to expel blood. Taking a pill formulated for women with cramps is better than taking a regular Tylenol or ibuprofen. Pamprin and Midol work wonders. Be sure you drink plenty of water too, and get lots of rest.

take a hot bath or use a heating pad.

stop with the meds drink some tea and try to sleep

well if the drugs arnt working I would try a warm shower then a heating pad to help relax and if that doesnt help I would call the doc for stronger meds

when i started mine.. they really hurt to.. i just got a hot water bottle and went to bed.. dont worry they go after a bit x

i have killer cramps that have kept me bedridden, but 99% of the time 1 or 2 advil take care of the problem; they take an hour to kick in though, dont expect immediate results

idk about painkillers though

I'm so sorry! I remember cramps back in those days were AWFUL (good news, they get better as you get older). I know this doesn't sound like fun, but light exercise and stretching helps, and a heating pad.

put a heating pad on a pillow and the lay on your side in the fetal position with the pillow pressed against your tummy.

Take some damn NyQuil and just go to sleep

Hot bath, and take 2 Aleve!

Sleeping is my cure, but if they're so severe that i can't sleep, i'll run a hot bath, turn off the lights (b/c i normall have a headache too) and take a nap in the bathtub, it does wonders.

i heard bananas help. and so does midol which is a medicine for having your period. it helps w/ cramps, getting fussy, or tired :]
look for bananas at a local food store you might even find the midol there. if not go to a local pharmacy like CVS

If you already take the painkiller. If I were you get a heating pad to put on your tummy for while. It will help you to relieve your pain for while.

Like others have already said, Use anything warm to put on you...I use Midol every day of my period, it has a bit of caffeine in it, and it keeps the cramps away..Just take it easy, and that should help eliminate them quite a bit!

are you athletic???...well if yes exercising always helps to get rid of them also DONT drink stuff with caffeine. then also get some rest, but when you lay down prop up you legs...that always helps me my sister my mom and my cousin...i hope i helped.oo yea and also get a heating pad and put it where it hurts and if its on your stomach lay down on th eheating pad. then pop some ibprfine(pills for cramps)...im not sure how to spell it and that should cure it

i get this too take a really warm/ hot bath just lay there and let your body soak and what kind of pain relievers??? alieve is good. and try drinking alot of water and juices... good luck!!!
hope i've helped

Do both: take some chamomille tea and use a heating pad. Try having the tea the day before you get your period, several cups a day.

Try eating a corn dog or two that should clear up the cramps. Glad I could help. Your buddy, Bob.....
