Why is your urine always a yellowish color?!

Question: unless you just chugged a ton of water and you pee white its always yellow. Just wondering if anyone knew why.

The kidneys serve two major functions: they keep the salt content of the blood constant, and they filter waste out of the bloodstream. So, the main components of urine are (salt) water and waste products. The major waste product from cells in the body is ammonia, and the major waste product from blood is a broken form of heme called bilirubin. In the liver, each of these is converted into a less hazardous form: ammonia is converted to urea, and bilirubin is degraded to urobilins. Salt, water, and urea are all colorless, but urobilins (which come from degraded pigments) are yellow. So, if you drink a lot, your urine will be more dilute and clearer, and if you get dehydrated, your urine will contain less water and be darker yellow.

your kidneys make that color when it cleans u out... but the more water the lighter.. although I notice mine is the yellowish in the morning when I get up, even though I drink TONS of water

becuase bile is yellow and urine and bile both pass thru the liver

its all the waste coming out of your body

its clear with too much water because your body is only peeing out water and not waste

Not enough water.

the more yellow your urine is the more dehydrated you are.

the darker the yellow the more dehydrated you are

I am not sure, but I know the more yellow your urine is the more dehydrated you are.

It's all the leftover minerals and stuff. It's good to clean it out so drink lots of water. Dark yellow means you are dehydrated.

There's gold in it!

Just kidding, but the source should explain.

because all the toxins in your body that your kidneys clean out mix together and make a yellow color

If you drink too many sodas or tea,it will be yellow.Drink more water. You may get kidney problems.

Because it contains urea... as simple as that.

I've peed orange due to meds i was on, and also a tea color brown. This was when my liver wasn't working correctly. Urine isn't ALWAYS yellow.

it means you lack water in your body. the other reason, your body rejects the excess vitamin intake. does your urine smell? have a urine test to find out if you have a problem.

cause being yellow tells you that theres not enough water
toilets rock

because yellow is your favorite color.

its not always yellow, sometimes clear!

suppsoe its yellow to lack of water and clear for plenty of water lol

The yellow color in urine is due to chemicals called urobilins.

Because your kidney's cleaning out system. Everything is normal. If you have a yellowish stuffs. Most women do get it also.

The majority of people are walking around with some level of dehydration. The more yellow your pee is lets you know the level of that dehydration.
That is how runners tell how they are doing in a marathon (dehydration wise).
Drink tons of water. Your pee won't be yellow, your skin will look better and it helps with a lot of other things in your body.

you be eatin too miny yelow feeds.

your liver and kidneys is sluggished-drink lot of oj

It's usually an indication dehydration. Should be drinking water or some king of fluid during the day, not just chugging water once a day. Water goes through your body quite quickly, thus the reason to drink water/liquids through out the day.

If that's not the case, suggest you see your Doc and get tested for bladder and/or kidney.

Hope this helps.

cuz you would be freaked out at blue pee

sulfur

How do you know what color my urine is?

Are you peeking at me bits and pieces?
