Is spotting normal?!

Question: i've been on birth control for sometime and just recently these past few months i've been spotting a week before i'm actually supposed to get my period.....i've been taking my pill everyday around the same time....what is going on? i also have hpv, i was wondering is it, god forbid, a sign of cervical cancer?

Was on pill for several years. Never had spotting. Go talk to your doctor.
