Embarassing question--Women only please!?!

Question: I noticed that I have a red and purple-ish uncomfortable bump on my vagina, on the side of my clitoris. I have never had sex with anyone, but have masturbated on several occasions.

The only things I can think of is that it would be a bug bite (which I have a couple of big ones on my back) or that I possibly scratched myself.

Has anyone had this happen to them and what did you do about it?

Sounds like you did scratch yourself... do not use Neosporian, that is not good in those areas. Just keep yourself clean and keep your hands off for a few days, you will be fine. (Also, cut your nails!)

This is a question for a gynecologist, not for a public forum.

erg...go to the doctors?
?

see your doc.

you should prob go to the doctor.

go to the doctor. Purple and red and bump shouldn't be there.

I suggest you get it checked. It may be a STD - one that you may be born with and didn't really show until now.

You probally scratched yourself, should be sore for a while. Just refrain from masterbation

you may have rubbed a small blister on it.

It's probably just a pimple or a boil that will go away on its own in a few days. It's unrelated to masturbation. See a doctor if it doesn't go away on its own, or if it becomes an open sore, or if it becomes very painful or itchy.

***it"ll go away.......don"t sweet it***

Get it checked out if it doesn't go away in a week. If you have a fever, chills, vomiting, the runs.......get checked right away. Otherwise, especially if you are a virgin, I wouldn't worry. Could just be an allergic reaction to a new soap or new material in undies.......

It can happen try some vagacil if it doesn't help in 2 days call a gyno.

Pimple? Uh . . . allergic reaction to a scented panty liner?

Wash gently in mild soap. If it doesn't go away in a few days, call a doctor.

I'm guessing probably pimple.

Sorry that I came inside here, but I recommend you don't take any advice from people. It is important that you see a doctor to check if it is a serious problem. So contact your family doctor as soon as possible.

It sounds like a boil. Soak in a tub of warm water with some epsom salt added to it. That might bring it to a head and then it will bust. You can also get a very warm cloth and put the salt on there and hold it on the bump. These are sometimes very painful and sometimes have to be lanced by a doctor.

Sounds like a blood boil. DO not pop it. It sounds like you might have a Staph infection. Maybe you touched yourself with dirty hands.
Go get some anti biotics.

It has happened to me before and I am pretty sure it can be a ingrown hair , but dont sweat it. If it is it will go away. If it doesnt though you should go to the doctor.

u should go to the doctors even if u didn't have sex if u still did stuff with a guy u might have somthing if u didn't do anything at all wait a few days if it doesn't clear up go tot the doctors it might just be a sweat bump (zit)

Try cleaning it and then putting some ointment or petroleum jelly on it. If it doesn't heal up within a week or 2, contact your gyno.

Sounds like a boil. Never had one that close to the clitoris, but I had something similar on my bum hole once! There, not just you that's embarrassed now! LOL.

If it's been there just a few days; don't worry, it may just be a boil or a big spot.. it does get warm and moist down there after all....

If it has been there for a while (say a month or more,) you MAY have to see the doc. Give it another week or two.

Does it weep? Or is there any smells? Like I said, see a doctor if it has been there more than a month. There is a 99% chance that it is probably nothing to worry about at all.

if you have them on your back then that might be a bug bite.
just get your regular pap and ask the doctor what it is.
it might be serious.

i get those all the time for some reason,
they hurt but they go away a few days later.

im going to go with everyone else, just go to the doctor to get checked, and hope everything turns out

goodluck.
:)

No! never had this, but I would get it checked out!

It may not even be serious, but it may also need some medication to clear it up.

Yes, I have them as well. I'm really not sure what they are. I've been to the gynocologist several times..but not about that..and they never said anything..in fact i've never worried about it. Me & my friends are very open & we talk about stuff like that..& my friends have them too. We think it's just that your hair itches down there..I don't believe it's bug bites..but to be honest..everyone has bugs on them..theyre microscopic. No worries!

i have, use vagisil. it makes the bump go away.

it has never happened to me but i have heard this before.Dont worry its just an fungle infection or u can consider it a acne, dont touch or scrach it.It will disappear in few days, henceforth do clean private areas with warm water and maintain hygine

women have glands that sucrete fluids to keep the area moist and comfortable, sometimes these can get clogged. If it gets really bad, a doctor has to surgically remove them. It will burn like a mother, but try cleaning it with an alcohol pad a few times a day. If this doesn't help, see a doc and get their opinion

If you haven't had sex, there's a good chance it's not serious. But best to ask a gynecologist to examine it, to be sure? Good luck!

The labia have a number of fluid ducts that are designed to keep the lips moist. Sometimes these get clogged and the fluid backs up and forms a cyst. To treat it, hold a hot compress on it like a hot wash cloth, and also rub it a lot in a hot bath.

sorry I'm not a woman

stop sleeping around with so many men
