Stupid question for tampons?!
Question: As my questions before about running people are saying I should wear a tampon. I am so scared when it comes to tampons. I have been wearing pads and I hate it cause I have to change it 2 times at school which sucks. also I heard tampons last to 4-8 hours so I won't probably have to change it at school. 8:40-4:30?

No question is stupid. You don't know the answer until you ask the question.
It depends on how much you flow as to how long they will last. I used to wear a pantiliner with mine so if it leaked, the liner would absorb it and it won't get on your clothes. But at soon as you feel it leak, change it. Tampons are less smelly for people around you. That is another good thing about them. But always carry one with you, just in case. When disposing of them please do so by wrapping it in a paper towel or toilet paper. No one wants to see or smell them in the trash. :-)

If your scared, then maybe you're not ready yet. If you think you are, try talking to your mom, or a sister, or a close friend about them.
Or, try talking to your doctor. She could explain tampons to you and what you need to know. She could show you how to put them in, or explain.
Don't try on your own, because you could possibly do it wrong, but nothing will happen, it might just hurt a little.
The best thing to do is talk to your mom or another woman you can trust.
tampons are so conviniet, i was nervous about it when i first tried them but there amazing!! the time depends on you amount of flow and the tampon absorbancy
yes where them. i can only wear them when i dont have my period. i dont know why. but i prefer tampons
Not a stupid question at all. They can be uncomfortable at first. Try a multipack and see which one feels better. Much more sanitary and easier to hide in your purse. You can go swimming with one also.
when i first started wearing them i was nervous but yes tamps are better than pads... just make sure as soon as u get home change it cuz u dont want tss
Let me tell you, tampons work better than pads. You can changing more often, 4 to 6 hours a day. You can not leave your tampon in for long period of time. You could get TSS. Just be careful with them and try remember to taking it out more often.
Tampons if you get the super ones, last a good while and if you wear a panty liner as back up you maybe ok but it also depends on how heavy a flow you have as to how long they will last. They are much more comfortable than a pad and less messy. However if you are still a virgin, you may have problems inserting them. You need to be sure you get it way up there.
