Why would your vitamin d being low, cause you to feel so tired?!


Question: vitamins in general help vitalise body energy....50% of ur vitamin D is produce when u expose ur self to the sun....in the winter time(depending where u live)...u don't get much sun....so vitamin D gets low...infact low eneough to cause problems...imagine if u reduce ur vitamin A to 0 a day for 4 months...ur eyes would feel like they were popping off :P...same goes for vitamin D....u can get vitamin D pills....but before u take them consult ur physisian...hope i helped :)

You seem to be caucasian which means your skin does not absorb as much vitamin D from the sun as darker skin people. If your D level is low, you will feel tired because the energy from the sun that should be absorbed into your body through your skin is insufficient. Remember that sun is the earth greatest source of energy. So less sun absorbsion=less vitamin D= less energy= tiredness.

To help increase your D level spend more time outside and in the sun (not direct sunlight) especially in the winter months and take a vitamin D supplement. Caucasian women who live in colder climate (causing them to spend more time indoors) and who are lacking vitamin D should take between 1500 and 2500 mg per day.
