My prepubescent child has a lump in her breast?!

Question: I remember when my children were born and I was breastfeeding they had lumps in their breasts and the Doctor told me that it was normal that it was my hormones and that it would get better, and it did. My now 10 year old daughter if just starting to form "breast buds" and in one of them is a lump just like when she was a baby. I don't know what to think, I am trying to be calm about it, I have called the Dr. but I haven't received a call back yet...anyone out there know what this is.

thanks in advance.

Ok, remain calm, it could be puberty starting or it may be a milk duct. Chances are it isn't serious. For your nerves' sake, take her to the doctor. I'm sure everthing will be fine.

Yeah, it's probably a milk duct... unless it's like the size of a pea... because when I started getting breasts they felt lumpy too but my doctor said they were the "milk ducts"

i hope its ot cancer that would really suck! best of luck to both of you

I think you need to see a doctor about paranoia schizophrenia
