How can i avoid shyness to go to a doc?!
Question: im 23 y old and ive never visited a doctor in my life. now i believe that i have to go visit a gyno but im just so shy. im aware that so many females have the same problem as myself but i just cant seem to get over my shyness and just go get checked out due to my body and i dont like the darkness of my vagina. it grooses me out and makes me shy. WHAT CAN I DO? PLZ HELP!

I know how you feel. I have always felt very shy even just talking to a doctor. When I decided to go get birth control, I brought my close guy friend and we joked in the waiting room about pamphlets about erectile disfunction... having someone you trust with you really helps. but first, find a doctor who you are comfortable with. that's the most important thing. then, come back at a later time for an exam.
i found that just by increasing my exposure to these sorts of "foreign places", I became more comfortable. It's not always easy, but it hopefully will become better with time :)
well ask someone close to you in your family or one of your friends to go with you.
someday you will realize that your health outweighs your shyness .By the time I was 23 , I had already had a baby and believe you me, several doctors and a wwhhhole lotta nurses saw my netherregions and I could have gladly lived without, however it is a fact of life ...when you are ready you'll go hopefully it is soon ....good luck

hehe. Im 13 and i had to go quite alot of times. i recommend you to go to a woman. then you will feel more confortable if she needs to look at "your private" parts( because you will know that she is a woman and she has the same things as you)
