EWWWW i hate belly button peircings. I have heard stories of girls who got theirs down and the ring thing went right through into their stomach. Totally put me off getting mine done.
Never was attractive to me.
It's pretty overdone. I think the tattoo / piercing thing needs to scale back a notch. It's getting overwhelming, and a little unattractive.
I think that looks neat having a little jewel there. It's the only other place besides the ears that I would pierce.

I have one. I got it when I was 23, something I had wanted to do for some time and finally took the plunge when my boyfriend and I broke up. (We got back together three weeks later and have been married for almost three years now...I still have the belly ring.) I like it. Nobody really sees it except my husband since I'm not really a bikini kind of girl so it's just for me. I'll take it out when I get pregnant and probably won't put it back in afterwards though, probably getting too old for it at 28.
i have a belly ring. i got it pierced about 3 years ago. looking back now, it was just a fad and i recognize that. but it was a fad i bought into. and i actually like having it.
its not like i flaunt it. i do go to the lake for the summer and i do wear a two piece, but i dont think a belly ring affects the image i am portraying. other than when i am swimming it is covered up.
there isnt anything to be disgusted about. your gf could have pierced worse places than her belly. if she likes it then let it go. your main concern should be that she is happy.
i have a belly ring, i have had it for 9 years now... and i love it, i wore it the entire time i was pregnant during all of my pregnancies as well, and it was realy cute, bc i was all belly, lol... anyways, if your girlfriend likes it, then let it be... you can tell her you dont care for it, but if she really likes it, you shouldnt make her get rid of it
It's her body and you should support her regardless, if she likes it then just accept it, what if it was something natural like a mole, would it make any difference? If it would then you shouldn't be with her as you're wayyy to shallow for a relationship and if it wouldn't then neither should the piercing.
