A question for ladies who have the marina coil fitted?!

Question: Do you not find that even though it is a good contraception, it is annoying to know when you are due on, as you don't tend to have periods with it and I am feeling down at the moment and do not know if it is because of this as I do not have periods anymore.?

Having had extremely bad premenstrual syndrome (I have polycystic ovary syndrome) I find the mirena coil a life saver. I am on my second one! After several months I found although I had some initial mood swings it settled down and now I am fine and don't have periods at all which is rather nice really!

I've heard very very little good about the ring. Knowing what I know now, I would have that piece of junk yanked out immediately. Just wait a while, if it makes you nutty emotionally get it out. I would, and did, used the diaphragm. It's like a female condom, it stretches over your cervix. You can't feel it, and it can't be seen or felt by your partner. I'm not talking about over the counter ones. This one has to be fitted by a doctor. No chemicals to mess you up. If you use it exactly as told, it's as effective as the pill. It takes a little care, but it's not really difficult. Just keep it clean. If having sex during your period is an issue, this will fix that, as it will hold blood back. Talk to your ob-gyn about it. I think you will love it as much as I did. btw it does nothing to protect you from life-threatening std's.
peace
