breast pumping is such a great relief and breast feeding in the begining is absolute hell! but you get over it in a week or so and after that it is very enjoyable!!

breastfeeding hurt worse for me because my daughter never wanted to nurse right and she made me so sore! The pump was a relief, lol
a little if breasts are tender or engorged but all the pain is well worth it to feed the little pudgins.
Neither should hurt unless the baby has teeth.If it hurts you need to be checked to make sure nothing is wrong with your milk.
I breast fed for close to 2 years. I could never pump. It felt like my toenails were being sucked out my nipples. VERY painful. Was told by many it shouldn't hurt, think of the baby to aid letdown, but nothing I tried worked. I loved breastfeeding. My baby would look straight into my eyes during feedings. He is 11 now and a very sweet kid.
