Sometimes tour body just needs to clean itself out...I know its gross but it does...If there was brown it was probably old blood that needed to be cleared out. If you don't have any more smell or discharge for the next few days then I wouldn't worry.

Go to a gyno ASAP! That's can't be healthy obviously!

Call your doctor about this. They would know what to do.

Go see your Gyn - it could be bacterial vaginosis, and if it is, you won't get over it without medical intervention.

Hope this helps.

sounds like a bacterial infection. see your gynecologist NOW

Go see a doctor!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!... FAST!!!! It could be bad!!!!!!!!!!!

do you get a lot of dates with that opening line... ?

You should go to a doctor immediatley! I don't think that's normal.

definately an infection see your dr. they will tell you what it is. you don't want it posted on here.

Eat good vegetarian food for a few days. Drink plenty of milk and Yoghurt & u should be alright. Avoid meaty food & non vegetarian food. Eat plenty of greens. Add garlic, ginger and pepper in ur food to improve blood circulation.

I am so glad that I am a man.

sounds like a kidney infection possibly. go to a doctor. may only need antibiotics. go to a doctor

id go to the doctor and get it checked out
but i think you may have a yeast infection
also you can look up your symptoms online
if you are curious it won't be as good as
going to the doctor but it could give you some
kind of help

if you are still having pains, you should get it checked out. you should not self diagnose things of this nature.

You might be developing a yeast infection. If you wiped the wrong way, bacteria could've entered the vagina or if yu had sex recently and your partner hadn't washed that day bacteria could've been pushed into the vagina. It's not unusual to begin spotting between cycles, but since there is a smell to the discharge, I recommend douching and keeping an eye on it for a couple of days. If things don't clear up, see your OB GYN.

*Edit
I didn't mean it imply that you may have an STD! But since you haven't had sex in so long, I would keep an eye on things. Again, I would clean yourself out and wait to see.

I'm pretty sure that brown discharge is normal after your period... and sometimes it can come with a mild odor but if it persists you should talk about it with your gyno.

That's awful. I'd definately check with your doctor, [seeing as an MD isn't answering your questions (me lol),] but that kind of thing happens often, to a lot of people. Check out this website, http://www.cfpc.ca/English/cfpc/programs... I've got some clippits from it here to follow incase that link doesn't work...

Is vaginal discharge normal?

Yes. Glands inside your vagina and cervix (the opening to the uterus, or womb) make small amounts of fluid. This fluid flows out of the vagina each day, carrying out old cells that have lined the vagina. This is your body's way of keeping your vagina healthy and clean. The discharge is usually clear or milky and doesn't smell bad.

The colour and thickness of the discharge changes with your monthly cycle. The discharge is thicker when you ovulate (when one of your ovaries releases an egg), when you breastfeed or when you're sexually excited. During your period, menstrual blood mixes with the discharge

What changes may be a sign of a problem?

Changes that may signal that something is wrong include an increase in the amount of discharge, a change in the colour or smell of the discharge, and irritation, itchiness or burning in or around your vagina. This is called vaginitis. A discharge that's stained with blood when you're not having your period could also be a sign of a problem. These signs may need to be checked by your doctor.

What may cause these changes?

These changes can occur if the normal balance of healthy bacteria in your vagina is upset. Many things can disturb the balance of a healthy vagina, including douching, feminine hygiene sprays, certain soaps or bubble baths, antibiotics, diabetes, pregnancy, infections, aging and intercourse

Hope this helps! Good luck, and hope all goes well!

Just like most people on here are saying call your Dr. now before it has a chance to get worse.

It could be a yeast infection, call your doctors office to talk to a nurse. A nurse will be able to tell you by asking questions if it is something you should be more concerned about, and what you can do to ease discomfort until you can get into see the doctor. Since you are having pain or if you develop a fever it may be serious enough to see a doctor. Take care of yourself! Don't be embarrassed to talk about this with health professionals. That's what they are there for and I'm sure they've heard MUCH worse. Good Luck!

First off, this isn't an emergency.
But you should see a physician as soon as you can get in.
It sounds like it might be some retained vaginal mense which will turn brown and have an almost iron, stink to it.
If it is a one time event, it is probably just this.

If you use tampons, make sure you do not have a retained one. They will hold blood and get rancid in smell.
If this isn't the problem, you may be coming down with a yeast infection. They can happen at any time and they are not always the same for everyone.

My recommendations in order:
check for a retained tampon
don't douche as this kills natural flora which is needed for a normal PH
keep yourself clean until you can get to see a doctor if none of the others work

It sounds like the beginnings of either a yeast infection of vaginosis. Definitely go to your OBGYN asap.

ewww go to a doctor
