Once u start to take birth control how long do u have to wait to have sex to be !

Question: Eh it depends when you start on it,if you start it the first day of your period well then when your period is over it's safe...but you have to remember that it is NOT 100% effective! No contraception is unfortunately!:(
And also remember that is you are sick for more than 24 hours it won't be fully effective for a week and it's the same story if your taking antibiotics too,so you should probably use a condom if you are sick or on antibiotics as if not your chances of getting pregnant are hugley increased!

You should use backup protection for at least 30 days when you first start taking the birth control pills.

You should always use back up anyhow. Birth control does not protect against any type of STD's and is not 100%. You should read the package label to tell you or call and ask your doctor it depends what type of birth control you are on.

7 days of taking active pills. However if you start the pills on the first day (or at the beggining) of your period your protected straight away

It's best to talk to your doctor and get safe answers. If one listens to people here you will have 8 kids a screaming in and around your house.
