It does make it less effective if you don't take it at the same time everyday... sometimes it can make the pill MUCH less effective. Ideally you should only be varying your time by about 30 minutes everyday. Like if you make it your goal to take the pill at 1 pm everday you should stay within the 12:30-1:30 time frame. It decreases the pills effectiveness from 99% to about 94-95% i've been told. Also, if you take it at random times it can make the symptoms from the pill worse than if you took it regularly.

I am answering your question

lol i am too funny

it doesnt matter my sis does the same thing as long as u are takein it just not too many hours apart that many should be fine

You should take the pills at the same time on each day. Thats what I heard from my doctor, & from the info from my pill bottle.

I should think you would be maintaining a rather consistent blood level of the drug. You should try to take it at the same time every day but as long as you take it that's what counts.

The best thing to do is ask your doctor

I dunno for sure, but you're generally supposed to take them at the same time every day to maximize the efficacy of the pill. Try calling your doctor. They can tell you for sure.

Well, calm down. Don't flip out, sheesh. People don't know the answer to every question asked, and some may not understand it. Not everyone takes birth control, so we don't know the answer!

maybe no one answer because no one here knows. Ask the person who prescribed them to you or a pharmacist.

You need to take it withen the same hour everyday: example from 1-2. It has to be that way. It can be all most as ineffective as not taking it depending on your body. Take it in that same hour interval, if you can't consider a different method.

And you don't take it at the same time every day, WHY??? I mean, how hard can that be??? Naturally, the more regimented your routine, the more effective it will be as you will have a constant, predictable concentration of the pharmaceutical in your body.

as long as you are taking you pill everyday that is all that matters

I don't think it matters that you take a couple hours apart. As long as you take it. And, if you take one pill at 1 and the next day you take at 3. I think that is ok. Because when I was on birth control pills. The doctor always told me as long as I take them. So, I don't think you have anything to worry about. I think ideally you're supposed to take it at the exact time every day, but that's not always totally realistic, I think you should be fine doing what you're doing, in my non-professional opinion. They do have these cute little pill pack holders with a timer on them I saw online, you could try something like that!

they say u need to take the pill @ the same time each day ...but as you have been on it for a year I think your ok unless you haven't been getting much...then again I missed once and got pregnant....so maybe u should take it @ the same time, sorry sweety I can't really help

you should take them at the same time everyday. for maximum effectiveness if you miss one you should take it as soon as you remember.

call your doctor, they would be the one to ask?

i don't agree with taking it one hour one day and then the next you really need to start taking it with the same hour everyday
