Well, lol you heard wrong. Whoever told you that doesn't know anything. Yea, it's perfectly normal, most girls do get it before AND after their period, and if you're like me, some girls get it like every day.

its normal to get discharge after ur period. i get discharge everyday. so it's totally normal

Its fine, some people get discharge every day. If it's brown and right after your period ends, it's just old blood. As long as it's either brown or cream-clear colored you are fine. But yellow or green discharge is something you need to talk to a doctor about IMMEDIANTLY!
