to be a virgin, means that you've never had sex. That's it.

It used to be thought that a woman was only a virgin if their hymen was intact. They hymen (or 'cherry' as most popularly called now-a-days) is a thin piece of skin, partially covering the vagina. It was also thought that EVERYONE had one. That is archaic. Not every woman is born with one. And, not every woman that has one makes it to adulthood with it. :) Child masturbation, physical trauma, or exercise can 'break' it as well. AND, not all women that make it to adulthood with their hymen intact bleed. Some do, some don't. and if they do, the amount can differ greatly. Some may spot a little bit, some it may be like they're on their period and bleed for a couple of days.

So, no, hon, if they were virgins, they were virgins. Bleeding won't tell you anything. ;)

How the hell does that make sense?

naw, i didn't bleed when i lost my virginity. its different for different people.

many people dont bleed because the barrier was already broken somehow. like when the used tampons or any other tyoe of activity could break the barrier. many people do not bleed the first time they have sex.

I didn't, so no that statement is incorrect.

its different for everyone, but you never know, it does cause suspicions

It doesnt matter if you bleed or not on your first time.

If you have never had sex before you are a virgin.
As soon as you have sex for the first time you lose that virginity.

Bleeding is just something that happens to some people.

NO

I think so

No. Some women don't bleed. Also there are other things that can break the hymen such as strenuous exercise. That doesn't mean they weren't virgins.

no, all chicks bleed differently, some it could just be a few drops others, its like cotting your arm, just ask any doc, not all women bleed, and some have torn there hymen when they were kids from trauma to that areea that wasnt sexual

No it doesn't mean that. Not all girls bleed. I never did.

We need to get the idea that virginity actually represents anything other than a state of mind behind us. Otherwise we end up in stupid situations where girls who didn't bleed don't get to say they were virgins beforehand while lesbians girls or girls who have oral or anal sex get to claim some magic badge of purity because a penis never entered their vagina.

No, it doesn't mean they weren't virgins. It means that they had small hymens that did not tear, flexible hymens that flexed, or had torn their hymens prior to first intercourse by doing any of a number of common activities.

you can break your hymen doing all kinds of things besides sex, like riding a bike, getting hit in the crotch, any kind of activity where your vaginal area can be hit on something, so i dont think tat would make you not a virgin, i mean you need to have sex for that. lol
also if the object taking your virginity is not all that big, it can not bleed too (sorry had to throw that is lol)

no it might mean that they didnt have a hymen some girls are born without hymens the only way to loose virginity is through sex you can break your hymen by just playing sports they might not have had hymens but the point is that they were virgins till they had sex

I was born without a hymen, so it never had a chance to break. I didn't bleed when I lost my virginity.
