What could cause a girl to stop growing when they are 11?!
Question: I got my period when I was 11, too. I'm kinda short (5' 3", I was tall at 11) but I never developed 'womanly' features. I was chubbier then, too. Now i'm pretty skinny except for some fat around my tummy.

well, some people just stop growing. i stopped growing at eleven too.

Genetics. Low estrogen levels, which can be fixed with birth control.
You don't grow much after you start menstruating. That's the answer to your question.
It could be something wrong with your pituitary, or other hormone secretions. On the other hand it could just be how you were meant to grow.
