Tampon trouble?!

Question: Last month, my friend got me to try one of those new, smaller tampons that are supposed to be more comfortable and are supposed to dissolve once they're full. Well, It has started itching, and I started my period again, so I used another one. It's really uncomforable and itchy. I've also developed a rash. Is there anything I can do without going to the doctor. I would be way too embarassed for anyone other than my boyfriendto see. I showed him in the car the other day and he didn't know what to do. Can someone please help me

You really should go to the doctor. And please ignore the rude person in the first answer. I've looked at your questions as well and I have some of the same problems you do. It doesn't mean that you and I don't have lives. It means that answerer #1 is a little "high and mighty." I'm 26 and I've never seen a gyno.

Just go to a doctor, for heaven's sake.

Add: After looking at your other questions, I'm just going to note that I think you're making up all your supposed conditions and problems. You're supposedly 18 and never seen a gyno, you have back acne, you have non-stop diarrhea... the list goes on. Please get a life.

Don't use the tampons anymore.

slither snake stick?

Oh thats bad. You really do need to see a doctor. That can be REALLY bad.

you absolutely HAVE to go to the doctor.
doctor's have seen waaay worse. believe me.
ive actually had a couple of friends who have had to go to the doctor for it getting stuck up there.
your sitch isnt that embarrassing..
dont worry about it. you'll feel better once you go!

stop using the tampons and use the regular pads. if it gotten worse, don't hesitate but go get it check. and clean well down there.

You are probably allergic 2 the tampon you used, the only way for it to go way is to go the doctor. If it makes you any comfortable you can ask for a girl doctor.

STOP USING THEM!

go to pads. see s situation gets better, if not you MUST go see a doctor. and next time change toa different tampon brand or dont use them at all!!! I think tampos are not right for you.

hope everything gets better.

you may have a yeast infection, and beware of toxic shock syndrome

wow, to my knowledge, nd I could be wrong, there are no dissolving tampons... that just sounds like a tragically horrible idea. you better go to the doctor, you dont want to risk getting toxic shock syndrome, it can kill you

what the heck? i didn't even know there was such a thing.

get over the whole embarrassment thing and just go to the doctor. it's not your fault that the tampon doesn't work for you. i'm sure they've seen worse anyway.

im sorry but a tampon that DISSOLVES? whats the point of that? what brand are they or what? I've never heard of that!! Go to the doctor and stop using them.

OMFG go to the doctor there is no such thing as a dissolving tamp on! you could get toxic shock syndrome!

I have never heard of a tampon like that... but it does not sound like it is something that would be good for your body... isn't the whole point of getting your period to get all of that stuff out of your body? Also, how exactly is this tampon supposed to disolve into you??
I would go see a doctor about this. I know you will be embarassed to do it but I can gurantee doctors have seen and heard worse before. They have so many patients they are not going to remember you or tell anyone else about it.

What country do you live in? There is no product like that available in America or any where else that I'm aware of.

If you left two tampons inside you for over a month you could have TSS (toxic shock syndrome). You need to try to remove both of them now, if you didn't pull them out then they're still up there and you need to get to a doctor NOW. TSS can be fatal.

you should go to the doc, u could have an infection. there are no dissolving tampons. i think ur friend was playing a cruel joke on you.

Um did I read this right- tampons that dissolve??? I have never heard of that and it does not sound safe if there is such a thing. You do know that you have to change the tampon every 6-8 hours don't you? Not changing tampons often enough can lead to irratation and rash like you are talking about. Also could be that you are allergic to something in the type of tampon. Tampons in general are not the enemy. You just need to find out why you have the irratation. I think you would be safe trying a vinegar and water douche and using a OTC anti itch cream. If the anit itch cream bruns terribly when you put it on you really need to be seen by the dr. Don't worry about going to the dr. Go to a gynyocologist- they deal with this kind of thing all the time and MUCH, MUCH worse. Don't be embarassed! That is what they are paid for. I would try the treatment mentioned above for a few days and if no improvement go to see dr. I would avoid wearing tampons at all until the rash is totally gone. Taking a bath with some baking soda added (1/2 to 1 cup in a full tub of water) can help with the itching too.

if you don.t want dumpster crotch go to the doctor!!

I don't think you should use those tampons anymore, the thing dissolving is an incredibly stupid idea for a tampon. A rash is a symptom of TSS. I would go to the doctor immediately!

dude i dont know of ne tampons that dissolve and if there is such a kind that is sooo unhealthy. go to the gyno asap. like serioulsy 2marro. it could still be up there
