Question: okayy, so i'm 14 and have never been able to use a tampon. someone suggested sticking my finger "up there" to figure out what was going on. when i did in the shower, i couldn't- there was just smooth skin there that was covering something that felt bumpy (it didn't feel unusual). why's this? i had my finger in the right place, and there was just a very very tiny opening, but i couldn't ever get my finger or a tampon up there. why's this?

the bump you felt was your clit. when you get active with a guy, he should go there - ton of nerve endings there...
move your finger down lower, down your "slit (for lack of a better term), with pressure, until you feel it slip in. that's where the tampon goes.
and you can just rinse your finger and you'll be fine
