Cant use a tampon..? (=?!

Question: okayy, so i'm 14 and have never been able to use a tampon. someone suggested sticking my finger "up there" to figure out what was going on. when i did in the shower, i couldn't- there was just smooth skin there that was covering something that felt bumpy (it didn't feel unusual). why's this? i had my finger in the right place, and there was just a very very tiny opening, but i couldn't ever get my finger or a tampon up there. why's this?

you just have a very small hymen. keep working at it, it will probably hurt, but tampons are so much easier and are well worth the pain in the beginning

why you don't ask your mom she'll tell you .

Click on that link. It shows you step by step how to put in a tampon. Its from American Girl. Those are the instructions I used when I was 14. It just takes a little practice. It also helps to get the tampons with rounded tip plastic applicators. they're a little easier to insert.

Buy a box of tampons. READ the enclosed information. It has PICTURES on how to put them on. The only hole that u can stick anything in (up front) is your vagina. Buy PLASTIC applicator tampons for your first experience. I was scared when i was your age but my cousin convinced me to try and i was happy ever since. But i started with plastic because its easier to insert.

For years I could not use a tampon. I didn't get the hang on it until after I lost my virginity (when I was 18). There are some women, that just can't use them.

Something that will help is using the plastic applicator type, and using a tiny bit of lube (K-Y or whatever).

Good luck, but don't rush yourself.
