Birth Control!!!?!

Question: Okay, so I have a doc appointment for Birth Control in about a week. I am having my honeymoon March 1st through March 7th. I just got off my period and I have been on the pill before so I know that you have to start taking the pill the Sunday after your period. I just really don't want to be on my period on my honeymoon. When I get birth control could I just start it anyways without waiting for my period to get here, or how else could I skip it. Please help, I am being totally serious.

You don't have to start the pill the Sunday after your period, you can start it any time you want. It takes 1 week to be effective. You can continue taking the pills through your honeymoon to delay your period if you like, and then have a period when you return.

good luck....if ur on a birth control with equal hormones distribution (all the same color pills except for the sugar pill used for ur mentral week) then u can try to skip the sugar pills then keep takng ur next months birth control pills. BUT if u go on a pill such as ortho-TRI cyclen, that uses different color pills (which indicate the different levels of hormones) then u can't do that.
either way, i tried before to take my pills right though so i would skip my mentral cycle and it just made my period ver light, but i was still bleeding & actually it stayed like that for the rest of the month. i had to keep a panty liner on for the rest of the following month.
i don't think it's to healthy to do that
