If you aren't ovulating, why would you have cramps?!

Question: I am 48 dpo - no period, negative tests. But I have sore boobs, cramps, and such. I had one day of rediculously faint spotting.

Why would one have cramps though (off and on - and mild to moderate... like pre period cramps) if there was no ovulation and no period?

hmmmm. obviously, the most usual reason for no periods is pregnancy, but your tests are neg. and i don't know if tubal pregnancies show up on tests.

the next thing that comes to mind is an infection of some kind, or an injury. or there may be a growth of some kind. all those things could cause cramps and spotting.

and then, there's just plain old stress, which can make everything act oddly!

Could be from a medication, if you're taking any, I often get period like cramps from my medications.
