Actually yes they do. Thongs contribute to UTI's and Yeast infections by the string touching collecting fecal matter and exposing your vagina to bacteria

I rarely wear things because of this

ummm no

Thongs are fine as long as they are 100% cotton and not too tight. Don't ever wear anything but cotton, like silk for instance.

Yah actually. It makes it easier for germs to travel from one region to another because of the rubbing. Its more common than people think.

i like when my gf wears things lol but wtf is UTI's

professionally speaking, yes, they do indeed contribute to Urinary Tract Infections (UTI for those less educated than most) and it doesn't matter if they are cotton or silk or spandex, they do indeed contribute to UTI and in fact are rapidly becoming a leading cause.

Yes, they can. In fact any tight underwear (bikini panties, even tight granny panties) can contribute to UTIs. The effect is increased by wearing tight jeans as well. If you're prone to UTIs you can still wear thongs and tight jeans, but not every day, and make sure your thongs are cotton.
