Heat. a heating pad, a hot bath, etc. OTC pain relievers may provide some relief.
Sounds wierd, but laying down with your feet up (like on the wall) helps too.
exercise may help.

my girlfriend uses a hot water bottle and it helps her a lot. You can also get a type of heat pack that heats up in the microwave.

tylenol is a great friend. but if you just want to lay down or something, you can fill a clean sock with rice, and put it in the microwave for about a minute and a half or just a minute, then place it on your stomach. tie the sock so none of the rice gets out. lol. but this helps me. i know it sounds weird, but it feels real good if you put it on your back, or lower tummy. wow. ;] hope it helped a bit hun!

Start taking ibuprofen (aka advil or motrin) a few days before your period starts, it will decrease the severity of the bleeding once it starts. When your cramps start, be early and aggressive with the ibuprofen, because it's much better at preventing pain and keeping it from getting worse than it is at making existing pain go away. You can take up to 800mg (4 non-prescription pills) at a time, every 6 or so hours. You could also try tylenol, but studies have shown it's not nearly as effective against cramps as ibuprofen.

In the future, you may want to think about taking birth control pills to help- my cramps used to be terrible and now they barely exist :-)

Well for me Ibuprofen works well along with a heating pad you could also try mydol or pamprin...hope you get some relief sister!

try the therma care heat patch its like a heating pad without the cord. it usually lasts about 8-12 hours and works great.

i use it every month. you can get it in the first aid section of your pharmacy or near the feminine hygiene section

Ibuprofen and you may want to try those ThermaCare heat pads. They stick to the inside of your panties and work wonders on cramps!!!

exercise, the more you move around, the less severe the cramps will be. but if you do get cramps,i know this sounds weird, try eating a spoonful of mustard, there's something in mustard that relieves cramps

use a hot water bottle
