Can the BCP damage/injure a fetus?!

Question: One doctor told me no, the other told me yes. I am in the military in Europe so I don't have any more doctor options. I don't think I'm pregnant (I hope), but am constantly worried that I MIGHT be and could be killing the baby with extra hormones. Is this true? What sort of defects might it cause? I really hope it isn't true. It stinks to always have to think about it.

If you continued taking your birth control pill because you didn't realize you were pregnant, don't be alarmed. Despite years of this accident happening, there's very little evidence that exposure to the hormones in birth control pills causes birth defects.

That came directly from here:

what is BCP and if you dont want to be pregnant why didn't you use condoms or just remain celibate? if your pregnant and taking a medication and u are concerned about fetal abnormalities worrying will not solve anything just go to the docs or research on line but if your really concerned about the effects of BCP? then stop taking the medicine if u can or just dont get pregnant

If you suspect you could be pregnant you should stop taking the pill until you know for sure.
