Birth Control question?? Week during 'reminder' pills??!

Question: Help please?! Ok, I am on birth control and I finished taking the 'active' pills on Monday. Then I have the 7 days of 'reminder' pills. I had sex last night (Tuesday). Am I still protected from getting pregnant the week I'm not taking the 'active' pills.I get my period during that week. But I normally get it 3 or 4 days into the non-active pills. So am I protected until I start taking the 'active' pills again?
