Period help.?!

Question: When can I start to use a tampon? I first got my period in November of 2007.

Answers: When can I start to use a tampon? I first got my period in November of 2007.

I didn't use tampons until I had my period for 6 years. I never felt like I was ready to. There isn't a specific age or anything and some girls never use pads and go straight to tampons. The best thing that you can do is buy a box of regular flow (tampax pearl compact is what I use and I love them) and try it out for yourself!

But just so you know, it takes practice. I can almost guarantee you that you won't get it in comfy the first time. So don't give up after the first time! Try it again the next day. Good luck with everything! And remember, relax! It's so much easier if you can do that.

You can use a tampon when you're on your period. Just don't forget to change it often.

dont .... wouldnt it hurt?@ ?@?!?! ? !?

whenver you feel your ready to.

As far as I know there's no age limit.

you can start whenever you want, but if your a virgin it might be somewhat uncomforable.

now? ha

GiVE iT TIME.
MAYBE FEBUARY.
STiCk TO PADS
TiLL U GET USED TO HAViN PERiODz

Now is fine.....it's hard to do at first -- it just takes some practice. You'll be happy when you get it though -- for real.

You can use a tampon whenever you are ready.

Whenever you feel ready to.

If your worried ask your mother, or doctor.
I would think you could wear it the next time you get your period.

u can use a tampon whenever u feel ready

i would reccomend until you had your period for about a year.
but whenever you really feel comfortablewith inserting something into your body is fine.maybewhen your period becomes regular so you know which absorbancy is best for you.

Whenever you feel like you are ready to.
Of course, you should always ask your mother before hand,
just in case she won't allow you to.
You wouldn't want to get the shock syndrome.

Congrats on the womanhood!

whenever you feel you are ready too. I started useing them within a year and a half and I can tell you they dont hert at all.

I used tampons straight away. The only reason why they would hurt is because it isnt inserted properly.

whenever your on your period..I don't their scaryy....and dangerous TSS..but it's your choice or you could use Instead Soft Cups...i heard they're good..http://www.softcup.com/

I'd say try it when you're not having your period so you can work out the "how" easier and to find out if you're comfortable with it.

You don't have to wait before you can use a tampon. If you have your period you can use them.

Welcome to 50 years of pms-ing.

But you can start using one whenever you feel you're ready. Try out a couple of absorbencies in order to best fit your needs. Make sure you start with the highest because you don't want your first tampon to be a nightmare.

Also, to this day I still wear a thin pad just in case, so I'd recommend you do that as well.

Good luck!

whenever your on your period, unless its really light, cuz being dry down there and pulling one out hurts
make sure to change it at least every 6-8 hours
also get the right absorbency

Tampons only hurt if you put it in wrong. You shouldn't feel them when they are inserted - if you do take it out and start with a new tampon. Remember to change them often as well.
Follow the instructions and diagrams that are given when you buy tampons.
There is no hard and fast rule of when you can start using them - if you think you can, give it a go.
They give you heaps more freedom, like being able to swim and not worry when you are wearing certain clothing items

tampons hurt....atleast thats what i guess. pads are wayy easier. just dont forget to change every 4 hours and take a shower everyday. maybe twice a day.
hope this helps! :)

i can tell u pasds are better and they dont hurt wear tight jeans so u wont feel anything moving thats what i do?

hope it helps

Some start using one a couple years after their first period, others use one during their first period. It's really all depending on how comfortable you are with using one.
Start with a light tampon that won't be too awkward for you. I also suggest using one with an applicator at least for your first few times.

There really is no set date. Just consider it for yourself. :)

When you start your period. and then when the flow is lighter, I would switch to a pantyliner, because it can become a bit uncomfortable. And make sure you change it every 3-4 hours, to prevent leaking. I'm assuming this is the first time you are using a tampon, it will take a bit of getting used to. maybe using one with an applicator and go for the light absorption option to start, you can always move up if you find you have to change the tampon earlier than 2 hours. Good Luck!

You can use a tampon whenever you like, there really is no age limit. Since you just started though, it may hurt at first. I think you should go with a smaller tampon, use the one that has the least absorbency. And eventually work yourself up to what absorbency you need according to how much discharge you have.

Also talk to an older female that you are comfortable with about it like your mom, aunt, someone like that. They can really be a big help with this kind of stuff.

I use pads, but i have used a tampon. You can use a tampon anytime you have your period make sure you change it every 3 hours.
Good luck
:)

Call your doctor or ask your school nurse. I promise they won't think you're strange or stupid! They'll be thrilled that you got up the courage to ask :o)

(My boyfriend's mother is a gynecologist, and I had to ask her a question like that once...and she didn't make fun of me or think I was stupid, because she's a doctor and it's her job to help with questions like that! If I can do it, you can to--go for it, girl! Good luck!)

hello!
yes you can wear a tampon. i wore a tampon the second time i got my period and i did just fine, but dont keep it in more than two hours to start with.
