Yes, cause you are losing blood (so have to expend extra energy remaking it), the blood has iron in, so you are getting deficient on haemoglobin to carry oxygen (so you get tired), and the cramps wear you out and can interrupt your sleep.

ya, i get tired and lazy and feel like crap and all i want to do is watch spongebob and eat cookies :)

YES!!!
i hate it though. i fell asleep in class and got in trouble i was sent to the office and i had to explain it to my MALE principal and the the disicpline principal with was also a dude then they sent me to the nurse to lie down ans sleep.
its normal. just go to bed early and it helps a little.

yes! I'm usually exhausted when I'm on my period. Go to bed a little earlier than usual. Also I find that I eat a TON the couple of days before I get it, and then when I'm on it I dont have that much of an appetite.

Absolutely. Keep your energy levels up!

Yes you can get really tired and cranky as well. If you are one that gets tired when on your period then take a few extra breaks and don't over exert yourself.

I get absolutely exhausted to the point where I have almost zero energy and find myself practically falling asleep if I sit down for too long.

It is normal to be tiered when on your period. Your are loosing blood .You Red Blood Cells carry a substance called Hemoglobin which is responsible for Oxygen Transportation through out your Body. You also find a Protein in your Blood called Ferritin which binds to Iron and is also important for transferring Oxygen.
Unless you suffer from a Iron Deficiency or any other abnormal Iron Levels you should get over being tired in a few days.
Just eat a healthy Diet, exercise and have a enough sleep.
Avoid taking supplements like Vitamins or Iron Products unless suggested by your Doctor.
Good Luck
