Many questions about periods!?!

Question: Hello. Thanks for opening this.
I have alot of questions on my mind that need answering.

soo.
My first question is if its ok to use tampons only on your 2nd period. I really hate the feeling of sitting in my own blood. So... I was going to "practice" so I decided to try inserting a Q-tip and it didn't hurt! but how much is a bigger is a (junior size) tampon?
Alrighty and for the second question- How long do average periods last?
3rd question- Ok... I know theres a string on the end of a tampon well what if someone thought it was like a string from a person's pants and pulls it! oh and can a tampon fall out? Like what if I am in class and I sit up and my tampon falls on the floor!?
ahh I am terrified of that happening.
any advice will really help.
Seriously, if you read this all and answer it, I love you :)

Yeah it's fine to use tampons on the second period if you're comfortable with it. It's bound to feel a little weird at first. I'm not entirely sure of the size of a Q-tip... a tampon is about the same size as half your little finger but obviously it expands when it gets into contact with blood.

I think the average is around 5 days where it's heaviest the first couple of days and then calms down a lot. Mine are usually between 5 and 7 days. It varies from person to person.

The string isn't that long! It's about 2 inches and would stay inside your underwear so no one would see.

The tampon won't fall out, promise. Your muscles tense around the tampon and it expands as it absorbs the blood. it's also pushed up quite far so it's well held in.

Good luck - it's a bit daunting at first but it's really no problem.

much bigger
7days
not possible your walls hold it together

It's perfectly fine to start using tampons right away. No worries there.

A tampon is QUITE a bit larger than a q-tip. Overall though, t shouldn't really hurt. I imagine you'll be fine.

Periods last about 4-5 days for the average person.

The string isn't that long. It's only about three inches long. It won't come out the bottom of your pants.

Your tampon won't fall out! If you put it in properly, there shouldn't be any problem at all! You've probably heard a lot of myths about this type of thing happening, but it's really nothing to worry about!

Make sure you're reading all of the instructions before you try your first one. Don't pull them out if you don't think it's full. It will hurt to pull out a dry tampon. Also, make sure you're not leaving your tampon in for too long.

A juniors size is a bit bigger than a q-tip, but is the best for new users. A tampon cannot fall out, but it can push out slightly if it needs to be changed, you would feel it though. Periods last anywhere from 3-7 days, depending on the person. When you are just starting out it can be very irregular though. I've never heard of someone pulling a "string" only to find a tampon.

Average periods last for about a week. I'm not sure, but I would say that the junior sized tampons are about 3-4 times bigger than a Q-tip. As for the 3rd question, the string from the tamon is not that long, so no one- and I mean no one but you- will be able to pull it out. It can fall out either, and even if it happens, it will fall in your underwear and stay there until you find it when you go to the bathroom. Never keep a tampon in for more than 6 hours, because you could possible develop TSS.

ok first off youd need about 20 or so q-tips. to a tampon.. and doing stuff like that is dangerous cause if youd lost your hold on it youd had to of told your mom and gone to the doctor to have it removed.
secondly its ok to use tampons if your ok with them but you should still use a liner as a backup in case you leak and make sure you change often since you are just starting and your periods will be all wacky..
next since your just starting there is no average.. it could be 2-3 days it could go 5-8 days.. your body is getting used to it and the hormones are trying to figure that out.. welcome to being a woman!
why would someone see the string on the tampon? its in your underwear..no one is gonna see it.. so no one will pull it but you! you wont even notice it until your using the restroom after a while..
and no the tampon cannot just fall out. it wont happen.. it has to be pulled out by the string and you will actually have to gently have to tug on it. so you know you should sit down and speak with your mom about this all.. and if you still have problems.. stick with the pads.. just change them more often..
honestly i cant stand the feel of tampons.. they actually hurt to insert and remove.

well I'd wait until you get practice on tampons. well picture a sharpie marker, it's about the size of a sharpie. how would that happen, and why would you have the tampon string hanging out in the first place?? but seriously it wouldn't fall out I garentee you it won't, email me if you have any questions;)
my email is nncy_venegas@yahoo.com. periods last 3 days to 7 days, 2 weeks is the longest.

1- yes you can
2- it is about three times bigger...dosent hurt(maybe first time)
3-average lasts about 4-5 days( everyones different tho)
4- i dont think that anyone is going to pull out your tampon anytime soon..trust me they cant just pull it out like that.
it wont fall on the floor if you have it in correctly.
and to insert tampons or any more question feel free to email me. good luck!! :)
