Burning while urinating?!

Question: Hi,I am 12 years old and I recently started feeling a burning sensation when i use the bathroom ,Although it is not every time I am still worried ,

Can someone tell me what can cause this.

I have not had sex so I am possitive its not STDs .
Also I do bathe regularly but was wondering if douching is ok at my age ? she said she would ask her Gyno but they may recommend a check up

I hate doctors especially THOSE doctors.I just dont feel right with what they do ..

Can someone help me out without that option .PLEASE ! Thanks

Pain and burning when you pee along with going often, are signs of a bladder infection. Females are prone to these as we have a shorter trip for bacteria to get into our bladders (versus men for obvious reasons). The doctor may simply have you pee in a cup, run some tests and if it shows infection then prescribe some antibiotics and that's all. Make sure to take the medication exactly as prescribed and to take it till it's all gone.

i'm guessing it's a bladder infection. sometimes you get them, even if you do bathe regularly. go to your pediatrician for antibiotics.

could be a UTI...urinary tract infection. tell your mom so she can make you an appt. it should clear up with medication. its quite common so its nothing to worry about or be ashamed of. do not douche. it is not safe for women of any age b/c it flushes out the vagina's natural bacteria that actually keeps it healthy, and creates an environment for unhealthy bacteria to flourish. plus, it can make the UTI worse. NO ONE likes those types of doctors, but its necessary to go when there is a problem. so just talk to your mom, and good luck :-)

Do not douche. It's bad.

You may have a UTI, so drink plenty of water and urinate often, and if it doesn't improve, see a doctor because a UTI can lead to kidney infection.

Well, i don't want to scare you but it could be an infection but that's not always. But you should talk to your mom and even though you hate doctors, they save lives.

Yeast infection it sounds like..Get one of those home testing things you pee on for them kinda things and find out what you got and just take it to the doctors instead of having them check if something shows up positive..But if you do make sure you go even though you hate it..You have to!

Well, admittedly, there could be any number of explanations for this, so it's hard to pin it down.

When you wash, are you sure you're thoroughly getting all the soap away? Rinsing thoroughly?

Sounds like it could be a Urinary Tract Infection (UTI)....

Just go see a Doctor, and they will just take a urine specimen...

Edit: A Pap smear is a test your doctor does to check for signs of cancer of the cervix. Since, your symptoms sound a lot like you have a UTI, you will just need to pee in a cup... So, don't worry!!!

UTI's are highly treatable with antibiotics, but it's very important to catch them early... so go see your doctor as soon as possible. Once it is gone... it is gone!!!

it is possible that u ahve thrush , but it may be somehting else,, try this website http://www.wrongdiagnosis.com/sym/urinat... it may help you x x

sounds that you have some type of infection that you may need to see a Dr. for (but nothing serious), and you should not hate a obgyn, they will be your best friend when you are older since they are just trying to detect and cancerous cells and things like that

you may have a bladder infection or urinary tract infection. You should see a doctor and no i dont think you need to douche. you say you are not sexually active so there's really no need for it.

IT sounds very familiar, my sister has this problem all the time and I will get it if I drink dark soda, many will get it with any soda or just lack of water period, try to drink lots of water and get some CRANBERRY juice, straight not like cran-grape or any other cran-whatever. If that dont knock it down in 2 days then its not a bladder infection and you need to hit the doctor, Peace
DRINK PLENTY OF WATER**********

For your age I do understand how you feel about going to THOSE doctors but they are the only one who can help you with more information cause whoever had answered your question or even me are not doctors so only can answer through experience. If your not comfortable with one doctor find the one who suits you. You got a choice. Don't let this fear make you suffer in silence. Btw I only know that you must not use the bath tub for now as it might make it worst and try using virginal wash which contains milk or aelo vera. All the best dear!

it sounds like you have a urinary tract infection, to ease the pain. drink lots of water. dilutes the urine, cranberry juice is very good , it stops any infection from attaching to the bladder.. and no douching . it is no good for the vagina, this could be the cause of the infection. no douching.. try having a shower, if you can as opposed to bathing.. you really should see a doctor. a urinary tract infection will show up in a urine sample. women's health with the vagina is very important. so please don't ignore.. start with the water and cranberry juice. but the best advise is if it does not settle.. you need a doctor

Sweetie, mamabear's answer is right on target.

All I have to add is that you don't have to see one of "those" doctors but you do need to see your family doctor.

If you let this go on, you will be absolutely miserable in a day or so. I know because I've had a couple of UTI's.
