Vaginal bleeding / period during pregnancy?!

Question: a symptom is : Missed or scant menstrual periods (It is important to note that some pregnany women experience a small amount of vaginal bleeding around the time of an expected period and mistake this for a regular period)

Is there a way to be certain of the difference, how do you know which is which ? And how early can the vaginal bleeding begin ?

except for in VERY rare cases, vaginal bleeding during pregnancy is nothing like a woman's period. bleeding during pregnancy is often a sign of pregnancy complications, and should be addressed with your ob/gyn. if you typically have a heavy period, and you still are having heavy bleeding, pregnancy is very unlikely. it is impossible to have a "period" when pregnant because periods shed the endometrial lining which is esstential to pregnancy

Take a pregnancy test!!! because if you are pregnant and your already having symptoms (as of bleeding) Then it should show up on one! Good luck!

When you have your last period WHILE PREGNANT, it is off color and spotty.....with both of mine it was a brownish color but I have heard others say a "pinkish" color and spotty.

Alert! Alert!
pregnancy test best solution
:O

Go to the doctor get blood work done. It checks hormone levels which will tell you for sure if you are pregnant or not. It could be something else. I say go to the doctor.

yes you can experience a little if pregnant. But if you have cramps and bleeding that can be a sign of a miscarriage. I had 2 miscariages last year. I started bleeding around the time of my expected period one of the time and just thought it was my period, I miscarried :o(

I knew of some girl's who have their period through out the whole pregnancy and I guess if the Doctor said it was normal than you should be fine but really I couldn't give you any advice on when the bleeding starts. Oh yeah and you can blott like have some drops of blood and it is just your body cleaning itself out so the baby can be made or basically I had a friend who had some drops and then it stopped and she was pregnant.

The best thing to do is have a pregnacy test and have some birth pills.... good luck!

Take a pregnancy test and/or go to the doctor. Some women have periods while pregnant....somewhat rare but not unheard of.
The only way to make you feel better and get to the bottom of your question is to see your family doctor.

Good luck!

Pregnancy test. Then wait a week or even two and take another one. It won't show up until you are like 3 weeks prego. I know someone who did have period throughout pregnancy, I don't understand it because that is when we shed the lining where the baby grows, but she has 3 kids. But my sister did the same thing at and stayed what she thought was expecting until 13 weeks. The baby stopped growing at 9 weeks. First sight of spots and a doctor told her it can happen in a normal pregnancy. At 13 weeks she started cramping really bad and bleeding. They did ultrasound and baby's heart was not beating. Sooooo, I would say, if you suspect you are prego, please go to a doctor. Especially if you are having cramps. Sorry, not trying to scare you but you really need examined.
